Wanted: Yamaha RT-3 parts.
« on: May 30, 2013, 11:57:02 am »
Hi guys,  Im in the process of building my old RT3 basket case into a low level pre-75 racer and need a few bits.  I know its a bit of a long shot but here are the bits on my wish list. ;)

Mag cover.
complete seat or base.
either some resonable front fork tubes or complete units.
Aftermarket pipe of some sort.
And, after an almighty kick-back, a main drive shaft for the gearbox as it sheared off the kick-start idler pinion on the end.  Complete gearbox would be o.k. too.

Thanks guys and let me know if you have anything.
Joel.

Hi Joel

You can spread your net a little wider, the part is similar for DT2-3 as well as RT 2-3. (MX250 MX360 also)

The output shalf is a very common part and there are plenty on evilbay US.

Where are you located?

Thanks for the reply.  I was aware of the DT/RT 2-3 part similarities.  Yes there quite a few bits in the US for them but I thought I'd give it a shot locally first.
Oh and I'm located in Colac, Victoria.
