How to remove needle jet from carb

Can anyone give me some tips on how to remove the needle jet from my carb? I don't want to break anything??

Take the main jet out, remove slide, then jest tap it out from mainjet end. Small pin punch or screwdriver. Should come out fairly easy.

Put a rag in the slide area so when in finaly falls out it does not damage the cut away area.
Be extra careful  making  sure you don't damage the main jet .

Thanks guys, needle jet has now been removed.

Just another question. I've got a new minuki carburetor to put on the bike. Do I need to change the float arm height?? According to the carb info it is set at 18mm, in the manual for the bike it says 13.9mm.
