The weirdest thing of all for me is the original picture posted by firko.
Seeing a meteorite sitting by the side of the road when they are so valuable, often worth more than gold ...
It's not really sitting by a "road", it's by a walking path that follows the south rim of the Grand Canyon. It was right in the centre of where thousands of tourists walk past and adjacent to the el Tovar Hotel so it wasn't in any danger of being nicked. I wonder if its still there? Anyone seen it in recent years? Simo?
I did some checking and it's now tucked away inside Verkamps Curio Shop on the south rim of the canyon........
