The weirdest thing of all for me is the original picture posted by firko.
Seeing a meteorite sitting by the side of the road when they are so valuable, often worth more than gold ...
It's not really sitting by a "road", it's by a walking path that follows the south rim of the Grand Canyon. It was right in the centre of where thousands of tourists walk past and adjacent to the el Tovar Hotel so it wasn't in any danger of being nicked. I wonder if its still there? Anyone seen it in recent years?  Simo?

I did some checking and it's now tucked away inside Verkamps Curio Shop on the south rim of the canyon........

Jeezuz!

With apologies Mark (love your work mate, specially pics of boat tails :)), but why don't you just post a link from "hairy arm pitted leftist feminists" monthly. While I concede that Forbes is a right wing journal its journalistic integrity must surely be greater than that of "Renew Economy".

What many of you probably don't know is that the cornerstone of scientific research, the scientific method, has been thrown out of the window IRO climate change research. Publishing a dissenting article (if any journal will accept it) WILL result, at best, in you losing your funding and, at worst, losing your career.

The recent debacle when a climate change institutes mail server was hacked showed conclusively that data is being fudged to suit agendas that are not scientific but political. It also showed that dissenters PERSONAL reputations were targeted.

In short: dissent from climate change within the scientific community will result in a witch hunt the likes of which haven't been seen since McCarthyism
