CZ porting for Mikuni Conversion
« on: January 19, 2013, 01:42:28 pm »
Boys,

We have a Mikuni conversion kit for our '73 that includes the aloy inlet manifold which is slightly wider in the ports than the original barrel.

Therefore there is s step of about 3mm between the manifold and the barrel. Is it necessary to enlarge the port all the way through to the steel cylinder liner ports or ok just to blend in the alloy section?

Many thanks and cheers beers

Just taper the port to match, doesn't need to go right up to the liner but the shallower the taper the better.
Almost sounds like you've picked up a manifold for a 400 which was a fairly standard modification to allow the fitment of a 36mm mikuni
