Get a thread file , it has on the end a set of teeth that fits inside and does the job properly . do it right because if you bugger the thread its a bitch to get the flywheel off .

to get rid off the rust clean with non residuos solvent ie thinners then use citric acid it only consumes metal oxide (rust) wash with soapy water (alkaliod) to neutralise then add lube, machine oil, penertrene or better still a rust inhibiter, citric acid is found at the super market in the food ile with ya spices and stuff, use a test peice of rusty metal first. all the best on your quest.  ;D

have not touched the bike for aggggeeesssss!
Have a list of excuses as long as your arm but the bottom line is did a little bit lately.

I cut the crap extention off the swingarm and welded my own on.
I didnt take any measurements and its gona cost me now as i have to make it shorter.

An you can see in this pic it has changed the angle of the rear shock too much and doesnt line up wit the rear guard.
Easy fix just annoying.

Oh also yes thats the rear shock i am going to use.
$60 delivered off fleabay worth a try.

Than the puppy came in for a sniff.

And a buddy of mine made this for me for my outdoor bar.
I love it.

Love your work.

The banner is cool 8).  Make sure you take that to CD9 if you go.  Then guard it with your life  ;D
Looking for YZ250C parts NOS if possible

The only triple jumps he would have been doing are the hop, skip & jump.

Thanks ando, having fun!
But nearly have all the parts (and funds) to build the DG racer so i might put it aside soon.

I did get some levers and perches to put on tho.

Think i will leave the tank as is for 2 reasons, The budget for the bike and 2 - its totally original.

The petcock however is not in good shape.
The nut that holds the petcock to the tank, which has the 2 threads (one to the petcock itself then the top one that screws onto the tank)
The top thread that screws onto the tank is stripped on the nut. They had a heap of thread tape on it, but i am wondering what i can do to fix it ? I dont know how to fix an internal thread, ill do some google searching.

Any ideas?
can get a picture of what i am rambling about if needed.

Find another tap, thought it was more common for the threaded boss on the tank to be damaged
