Non delivery of parts from Spanish dealer
« on: September 23, 2012, 01:28:09 pm »
A mate of mine ordered 1000 bucks worth of parts from solo montesa, never showed up and not one answer to his emails. I've heard some bad stories about this mob, but was always under the impression they were woefully slow but the parts always turned up. I for one will never deal with them, anyone else had any dramas with them?

I had been stung by solo montesa as well, over £300 worth of order that never turned up!!! Get intouch with Southwest Montesa mate. They are fantastic to deal with and send the orders out fast!!!! I will not use anyone else  :)

Solomontesa are a pain to deal with. Expensive and expensive postage. I have used them a few times and always got my order but very very slow. I have also been disappointed with the quality of their goods on occassions as well.

I always paid by PayPal maybe that helped but not sure. I have not used them for 2yrs or so.

Southwest Montesa and Rocky Mountain Montesa are the go really.

I've had some terrible dealings with Luis. Lots of shoddy repo stuff.
His best effort was when I ordered a set of new Betors to suit my H7 resto (same shocks as the VG 250, about 350 EU)
What turned up bore no resemblance what-so-ever to what I ordered. I emailed him repeatably and received no answer.
So then I translated "Your mother was a gorilla who was raped by a drunken English sailor" into Spanish and that managed to open the lanes of communication.

Needless to say I never received my shocks or a refund but I had some fun. :)

Mont the future Foreign Minister responsible for International Affairs ;) .  His decisive and inexpressible high levels of diplomacy and conflict resolution skills are just astounding  :P  ;D. Minister Mont draws on his sharp and witty repartee and badinage to charm his adversary into surrender ::) :P :P.

I bet Luis told you to use that repo H7 muffler that you also purchased and was rather second rate quality for something other than silencing the bike ;D ;D

It was far more suited for that (ouch!) than using it to silence a bike.....
