Cz rear spokes and axle
« on: November 04, 2011, 12:06:34 pm »
Where's a good(cheap if possible) source for spokes? I've got a wheel to build using an early 70's rear hub.
Also, would anyone have a spare rear axle for sale?
Cheers

From memory when I talked to Les earlier this year he had spokes in stock but not loaded onto the website

Keep in mind that the 74 & later axles are longer than the earlier models

Thanks guys, I've used Ash's before and can agree the service and product is pretty good. Handy to know they've made sets up before.

Cheers Geoff, the swingarm the wheel is going into is 205mm externally, do you know which axle I'd be after in this case?

The 74 axle would suit a swingarm around 270 outside width.

The 73 and earlier CZ's had the swingarm tubes flattened which is why the axles are shorter, don't have the measurement for them on hand.

Pretty sure all pre74 axles would be very close to the same length, will be removing my rear wheel tomorrow & can measure it for you

This will be going on the 350 BSA I'm building, if everything works out it'll be ready for the Nats

That'd be great, thanks

Looks like that's the one I'm after, thanks for taking the time to measure that up
