Well I would like to put a cz250 or ossa 250 motor into mine.  I dropped the 76 maico 250 into it and it would fit.  I suppose I could fit some later forks and long travel shocks and make a pre 77 Rickman.

Passed up a Betor front end for $80 at Gatton because the top tubes were rusty and because my Bultaco mate rekoned they were pricey.  In hindsight I wished I grabbed them.

You might have trouble with exhaust clearance with the CZ engine being a sideport. My choice engine is a pre 75 Maico, it goes in pretty easily and as a bonus, a Maico swingarm looks like it'd fit pretty easily to give you a couple of extra inches of wheelbase and make back wheel alignment a piece of piss. Pity your motor is a '76.

Thanks Firko, scratch CZ idea.  Might be fighting Tossa over the next Ossa engine.  Yes pity about the Maico being 76.   I guess half the fun is hunting for all the right parts at the right prices.

Tossa, they're wrecking a few Rickman Zundap's on ebay at the moment.

oh bugger, managed to sneak a couple of damn thick manuals into the house:
Rickman 125/250 Motocross, Owners Handbook, Service, Bulletins, and
Rickamns Parts catalogue, for all models 125cc and 250cc from 1970 to 1973, including 125MX & Enduro up to Frame No 9999, & 250MX up to Frame No 7499

Got them from the US, reprints($50.00 incl postage), but really brilliant manuals, got to give it to Don and Derek they knew how to do things, now where's a Zundapp motor, oops better type quietly, not until New Year, she said!!lol

Got them from Bear Sports, but you guys would already know about this place, really impressed with the quality of reprint.

nice frames, I've got all the frame and wheels except for the rear brake backing plate, looking around for a motor itself.  Chatting to a guy in the states about one at the moment.

Mark you might be able to help me as to where you got your tank and fenders for your micro

Barry I presume you mean my Mk 3 style tank and fenders for my little Micro. They're made by a friend of our UK mate Ben Penny.
It's funny how it came about...I was telling Ben that I don't particularly care for the squarish Mk4 style bodywork on the Micro and complaining that I'd bought a complete set of second hand glass to suit a Bultaco 'Petite' Metisse but had found that the tank didn't fit. Ben then informed me that his Dad was building a C15 BSA powered Micro and had wanted Mk3 glass on it as I had so he commissioned a friend to produce the molds. Bt sheer coincidence I'd happened upon the only person in the business making the glass kit ;D. The complete kit costs 250 pounds + delivery and the quality is superb. I'll PM you Bens details.
