1976 Yamaha YZ80 Head Bolt Torque settings
« on: January 30, 2011, 03:28:29 pm »
Anyone know what torque settings I need to use, to bolt the head to the cylinder on a 1976 YZ80C? Also which way up does the copper head gasket face as I forgot to look when I took the old one off? The new copper gasket is flat on one side and has a raised circular hump if you turn it over, which is about 4mm out from the cylinder hole, if that makes sense, so is the raised side of the copper gasket facing down towards the barrel, or is the raised side facing up towards the cylinder head?   ???
I thought I was wrong once, but I was mistaken.

i'm going with raised ring up,has it a wider section between head bolt holes,if so that goes over to the exhaust, :P
work, the curse of the racing class!!
if a hammer dosn't fix it,you have a electrical problem!!
