LAVERDA  Famous for their Roadbikes  also built some nice looking Dirtbikes.

(The 78 125 is bit of a badge engineered Husky)

DUCATI  OK! Everyone knows Ducati made 4 stroke dirt-bikes in the late 60's-early 70's.

Perhaps you would like one for pre-60 class?  1959 200 MX

At Least these are not sewing machines!

Go-Kart engines are pretty cool, but they can also be used for less exciting uses.
A company called Gyrmet used Bultaco Kart engines to power cultivators (rotary hoes).
(Fair enough, J.A.P., BSA, Villiers all had engines that did this work too.)

A cultivator, without the cutter-blades was commonly used to haul small farm wagons.

The Spanish village of Betxí,  hold a race around the village as part of their annual festival.
The winners for 1989 are pictured below.

Machines are limited to the ‘original’ fitted engines and the Bultaco’s are quite tuneable (Doh!)
As VMX’er will know, any sort of motorised racing cannot help but produce an endless spiralling quest for more power and performance.
The following pics show the evolution to today.

2005

2011

2013

Looks like a Lot of Fun
If you want to read the whole story (in English) & heaps more pix, here is the link:
