Yamaha DT Parts
« on: April 29, 2010, 12:20:14 pm »
Hi all,

I'm after either the full exhaust or at least the silencer/tail pipe in any condition for a DT100A,  I believe silencers from other models (DT125, DT175 etc) will fit.  A previous owner has cut the end of the silencer on my bike.

Also after a speedo for a DT100A or at least the speedo bracket,  I can get a speedo from Ebay etc but the only brackets available are from later models (1977 on).

Low mount front guard or the brackets for it- again a previous owner has butchered the original guard that I could probably repair if I could get the brackets.

May also be interested in any other DT100 parts in good condition eg, Front rim, shocks etc.

Cheers

I wrecked a Dt175 might be a 75 model ? would have all that stuff and a Dt250A in a box, give me a list if they were interchangable.
74 Yamaha YZ's - 75 Yamaha YZ's
74 Yamaha  flattracker's
70  Jawa 2 valve speedway's

For sale -  PRE 75 Yamaha MX stuff, frame, motors and parts also some YAM DT1,2,A and Suzi TS bikes and stuff

i've got a DT100 pipe {no silencer} i was just about to put the grinder through for no other reason than to squeeze it into the bin.
it's free $, in Brisbane, a little rough but usable.
if you're heading to CD7 i can take it along then or i can post it at your cost.

Is the front DT100 wheel rim you want 19" chromed steel?

Freakshow - I'll have a look tonight at part nos and see whats compatble but I think the silencer definately is.

vandy010 - thanks, I'll see how I go.

feetupfun - yes 19" chromed steel the one I have is painted, I assume to cover some dodgy chrome.

It appears the exhaust is different on 100 vs 175 but the silencer/tailpipe is the same on the twinshock models.

The rear shocks are also the same for 100 and 175 twin shocks, I was going to just clean up my existing rear shocks but they are stuffed, one keeps jamning compressed.

I've seen conflicting results on the rims/wheels but think they are probably compatable.

I believe the A (74), B (75), C (76) Dt100 models are very similar to each other, with then only minor differences for later DT100s (77 on)

Cheers

Cap, I have a rough 437 wrecker here (from Yzhilly) ;) it has both wheels, frame, most of the engine , oil tank, front end , knackered expipe no muffler, no seat, sidecovers or tank  Rough being the key word. I am in Elmore 3558 North Central Vic. Yours if you want,             price you ask? negotiable around the free mark OK ;)   PS  437 Models have a steel 19 inch front wheel . Cheers Tim754
