I'm a bit confused about an earlier comment about GV plugs causing no start or using more power etc, but the B8EGV is a racing plug with the letters GV at the end and its not a resistive plug. whats the go? I use them inmy 465 with good results, they handle fouling very well.

that info is from PVL themselves regarding this application.  your application may be differant, i just got it from them.  i still use the old fat lawnmower ones in my 2 smokers and they run, it was just a cut and paste for this problem.  If a plug works in your bike stick to it.

Thanks to everyone that helped with info on the PVL ignition. It seems that i have a digital stator with an analog cdi module going by the part numbers stamped on them. I bought the PVL on Ebay from a private seller in the US who won't answer my emails, so i guess it's buyer beware when shopping on Ebay. I now need to get the correct analog stator for my 490 Maico to be able to use the ignition. Cheers

you can buy the stators seperately so you can still salvage the idea.  PVL parts are sold individually as well.  relist the digital stator to fund the analogue on or vise versa
PA - prefix means its analoge, if you buy any online ask for the part number if its PA they have the analoge  (PD is digital) simple huh  ;)

probally should have looked like this one, normal PVl stators dont have that wound coil on them so, id say the maico needs  somthing a little differant to the norm if this is what it should have looked like.

Yamaboy, does your YZ465 PVL ignition use an internal rotor in place of the original outside flywheel?
Do you use PVl bolt on weights ??

I want to fit a PVL to my Husky but would like to keep the same weight as old ignition flywheel to calm its power hit.
