My old Jofama gloves were also a favourite - absolutely bulletproof.
Mine were the creamy white with the blue & yellow trim; is that what you have Firko?
I sold my leathers and Sidi boots (blue leather with yellow rubber fronts) to a mate so I could pay the rent a long time ago...
What was I thinking ::)??

"Whadaya mean it's too loud?! It's a f*ckin' race bike!! That pipe makes it go louder - and look faster!!"

Evo, here's my mullet shot (not sure how a scanned old photo will load).
On reflection it's more Elizabeth Montgomery from 'Bewitched' than mullet.
Either way - it's wrong!!
but the bike flew.

That Kembla meeting was a beauty Paul. The track did indeed kill a shitload of wheels. The 175 that won 125 was a Can Am if I'm not mistaken?. I guess he set a precedent for the same thing happening ay Barrabool a couple of years later.
Desiree the blow up lady finally died a couple of New Years Eves ago. She gave great service. I remember the Kembla Nats more these days for the catastrophic 'disagreement' and subsequent breakup with my then true love on the Saturday night! Ah yes, those shorts do indeed bring back memories. ::)

Firko,

I thought you might have named the bike in honour of Robbie Robinson, but not after seeing your fashion sense.  ::)  ::)

I'll have you know that I was quite the hipster in 1992! Those shorts are nothing compared to Geoff Eldridges poofy pants
that were out there even in that awful post 80s era. The Bands Music from Big Pink was indeed an inspiration in naming the Maico. One of the great albums of the era.

Nothing sad about playing good music....The Band were right up there in my opinion.
