Try The Bike Movers www.thebikemovers.com.au
I have been around bikes since my first 5 speed XR75 in 77.
All bikes transported are fully insured while in our possession. We use fully enclosed specialised transporters. We don't transport anything other than Motorcycles so there is much less chance of damage. Door to door service. We can do handover payments for you. We service from Whyalla SA to Nth Qld. We do not do WA and NT. We are much cheaper than the prices noted here. Check out the website for more detail on what we do.
Mention ozvmx when you call or email.

Cheers
Mark

THis is a project roller.  he paid $100 for the bike and only needs to pay the same to get it there, hence its not a commercial venture or descision.  HAng in there Mick well get it closer sooner or later mate.

Freaky, TBM is The Bike Movers. We hear often of people buying a project for bugger all and then getting peeved when they find out transporting it is worth more than the bike. I might suggest people sort out transport prices before they commit to buy that elusive bargain! Believe it or not, most of the time a project bike takes up more room than a Harley RoadKing by the time all the seperate bits are secured in the truck!
We dont do depot mate, door to door only. With regards to pricing, we take each job on a case to case basis. There are too many variables involved to do "generic pricing".
Remember, you need to mention ozvmx for "trade rates". We try our best to look after fellow racers.
Sorry, but thats the best I can do in regards to putting our pricing structure on the net. An accurate quote is only an email or phone call away. IM me with what you want picked up in Sydney.

Cheers

Walter, not only do i get huge reductions in the cost of my fuel for transporting projects, but I also get a free RAAF helicopter ride to where i need to pick it up from if its more than an hour away from me ::) That way, I don't have to actually spend any real time driving 2000k,s to deliver a bike. I still have to drive back home though as "our fuel sponsor" only covers us 1 way......

Still, if I did more transport for free I would have loads more "mates"!

Actually, the last xr75 project I got for myself cost me nearly 18hours solid driving. Now if I worked that out, figuring from mcdonalds junior pay, I would still owe myself $200, which wouldn't cover the sponsor subsidised fuel, let alone food, drinks, wear and tear etc...needless to say, my bargain didn't exist.

Again, I would just like to remind people to be aware of the cost of transporting that "bargain project" before commiting to buy it. I speak from experience

its all about time, perspective and having mates with a big enough shed to hold onto your progect till that day. That day will come, you just have to remember that if you need that bargin tomorrow, you would have to pay accourdingly.

Lucky for us we have time on our side and in this case mick picked up some seats for me and delivered to ACt meeting last year, if it cant find its way there, well he might just , have to meet me at broadford for the Nats, right Mick.  ;)
