cz 400 pistin ID

Hi cz experts I have just pulled down my 1973 cz 400 and I am trying to identify the piston so I can organise a set of rings, the piston measures 82.25 and on the top it has 2AX stamped in it, so what brand is it and where will I find a set of rings to suit.  H

It must be rebuild your 400 month, does the piston have any markings on the inside?

czmadness web page has manuals on it to tell you eveything i am rebuilding my 72 cz400 from them and help from this forum and members of usa cz forum

Hi Chris not a lot of numbers on the piston, on the inside all I can find is a number 7 cast in,

The piston is a 2nd oversixe stock CZ. they are all marked _ 1 2 3, A B C, X Y Z. So a first oversize could be 1AX, 1AY, 1 Az, 1BX, 1BY, 1BZ, 1CX etc. They are sized to the original bore taper. Very accurate engineering. Any second over rings will fit, no I don't have spares,

according to the on line manual 82.16 is the size of 1st oversize 2nd oversize 82.41
82.25 is the bore size 82.50 is the limit for 1st over
