Welding Brackets to frames
« on: March 16, 2009, 12:10:31 pm »
Hi, I have a broken side number plate bracket on my RM 250T and was wondering what type of weld should be used.
I only have oxy and arc welders at home, will they do or will it need tig welding?

Regards

XR ,go the oxy,try and shield all behind the flame so you don't set fire to anything else ;D
work, the curse of the racing class!!
if a hammer dosn't fix it,you have a electrical problem!!

don't go bronze!..if you have to do that then break out the stick welder and give it a zap with that. Dunno about others but my pet hate is pipes and frame repaired by brazing. Unless the item was made like that it sucks when it comes to repairs or mods.
