I've blathered over posting this for months, but here goes:
I am willing to build wheels for people at semi-commercial rates. I have the uber-shits with my work at the moment, and have been thinking about alternative sources of income...
Everyone seems to treat wheel building as some sort of dark art, but having built many of my own wheels, I don't think its really that hard - maybe seven otherwise wasted years in a pushbike shop makes the difference?
So I'm testing the financial waters here. Yamaha wheels only at this stage ('cause I'm totally comfortable with them). $50 plus parts for a basic re-lace. I can also bead-blast, paint, etc as required. I am also willing to work with second hand parts, provided you're prepared to accept the limitations of this approach.
Here's some of my own wheels that I've built up. The only new parts are the spokes in the RT1 wheel.
L to R: YZ250K, YZ125C, RT1. (sorry, didn't realise how crappy this photo was until I posted it)
