What rear tyre works well

The thought of being 1000km closer to Coffs Harbour now is starting to sound very attractive come March.  What do I need to do to my VB360 Montesa other than drop the triple clamps down a bit & add a trials tyre on the rear?
I run a 110/100x18 rear now, what is a good option for the flat stuff, eg brand & size?

There is only one serious option, a Michelin trails competition.  The Michelin is soft and seems to work better than anything else.

IF your not so serious then any trials or universal pattern suits be it kenda, dunlop, vee too etc

The trials tyres from fat white french man are by no means the cheapest but they're the best i've used & although I havn't raced coffs I've seen the track & thats what U want for sure... the X11
    I'd run a 'used' one of these over a fresh 'anything-else' so evn try & snag an old one rather than by new if things are tight. Obviously, the newer the better but an old X11 is still a worthy option for good drive & feel although if your good enough it won't matter what tyre U run rightYZHilly???

I lose out a little with traction in the straight line drags on the softer surfaces but I like the Dunlop K180 on the rear. What it loses in a straight line speed it seems to gather back up through the corners. Unlike the high profile trials tyres, you can almost lay it down and pick it back up again with the rounder low profile Dunlop and it remains perfectly predictable the whole time :-\ not saying it's better but I do like them for this reason. They help me crash less and got me a 3rd overall in the 125's at Coff's last year ;D albeit on a lowly ol' TM125 :P this said I did manage a win in the 250's with a regular trials universal fitted so come to think of it, I don't think it really matters what you run so I'll stop dribbling now :D
