the rubber tail light part looks like a T model PE part which is extremly rare.do you wanna sell it?

is this bike going to be orange or yellow? on my computer it looks orange, might just be my colour settings though?

i would do the number pannel on the light in white if aiming to replicate the 250 B look.

Leith the rear rubber bit is later PE but it isn't perfect. I would swap it for a used PE250B light but otherwise I'd keep it as it's the closest thing I have to the proper tail light ;) the colour is orange by the way..bright orange! ;D the bike will be black and orange and it's only loosly based on a PE. Find some RM80B/C covers and that'll probably do as it's only a bit of fun whilst using up some otherwise useless spares ::) kinda looks a bit like a Hodaka Thunderpuppy if you close one eye and cover the other ;D

Leith in my books the T and X model lights are the same part and number but the Z light is slightly different having the wire feed from the back and not the side of the rubber shroud. I kinda wanted to keep it anyway as it looks like it was meant to be ;)

KB, it would be grand to whip down the bottle-o on but the fine is worth 10 times more than the bike and my main drink which is milk is cheaper at Woolies so I'd be doubly kicking myself if I got busted on the way to or from the bottleshop :D

yeah i confused myself here. if we are talking PE lights the one on your bike appears to be a T rubber to me as it has the hole on side. X rubber housing IS different. it has the hole out the back, and different bulb housing and lens mounting. Z was a big metal TS/DR type light ( which i am looking for by the way) for australian and Uk models and other countries still had the X model light. everyone seemed to bin these big ADR tail lights and fitted the optional X model light or went with a Stilmotor or UFO integral rear light fender.

Spotted that one CG but she's 6 speed '78 C and the gearbox and cases are different. $500 is what they were brand new but it's still a better option to a Chinese blingcity cheapy :) I used the same front end on mine for the extra all important travel..doubt there actually is any more but it appears that way  ;D
