Intro
« on: October 01, 2008, 09:49:04 pm »
I hope this is what needs to be done to create introduction. I saw the article in trailzone on the Vinduro. I thought it sounded like an excellent idea. I need to find someone who can weld a cracked head on a 1985 xl250 before i can ride. It was a fairly common problem that many years ago. Last time i tried It was too 'old'. Maybe someone makes a substitute/accessory part. Any way it may happen that i get to ride again.... after some work

G'day PC. Nice to see another XL person here.  :) just trying to get a '74 model back into the dirt myself.
Wouldn't be that hard to just get another head, would it?

oh dear not the 85 XL250 cracked head problem. seen it before. very, very common problem/fault with this model bike. They overheat. This is one of the few bikes honda got terribly wrong. ring Ballards offroad and they will put you onto someone who does it. And actually ask to speak to Geoff Ballard he will know the problem, the young lads manning the phone wont know.

I may not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it.
