ok then, you can have a laugh, dragged it out of the cobwebs today & as they say on ebay she just started right up--well about 10 kicks on a dry carb & stale fuel but settled down well. Cleared it's throat & headed down the road & back. just runs exactly as they used to although deep induction noise from the k&n. Forks don't even leak despite the polished off rust [yes they have oil]. Rear shocks are heavy damped gas girlings which was all i could find so had to move them up the arm otherwise it was damn near rigid with super hard damping & yes i know they're probably 'falling rate' rather than rising with the bottom past straight up n down. Recon my Mk8 pursang was much like that [my excuse],anyway-- not ridden in anger anymore.
Ok, engine number is [not my original i hoped for], DT1F-28266 & Frame RT1-113343. Went back later as remembered another one in an RD or R5 frame so crawled across the other bikes in the fading light & guessed where to take a photo & got it 2nd time--DT1F-24490 [have a 360 crank in this motor with DT1MX top end]--anyway, pics coming if i can work it!!. While i'm at it, if you get into my photobucket there's a pile of pics from a disc Ray Fisher sent Tim Gibbes ages ago. I experimented uploading to my bucket a while back but needed to add the captions which is a 'must' so canned it then forgot. There's a lot more i think than what's up here & i'll do it oneday. Thanks.
