Had a few newcomers around where I was and the $25 was a topic of conversation . It's probably a case of a reddy is easier to dish out. If you are in the know the Legends is fantastic. However to the less initiated they look at things through different eyes. My son gave away dirt track at 14 and even living in our household really only knew Gall and Crumpy with a touch of knowledge of McCoy, Bayliss and Vermullen. He is 22 now. They didn't mind it but probably wouldn't front back, they thought it a bit expensive. Contrast to the Queensland Swimming Championships at Chandler. Heats this morning 9.00am till 3.00pm. Easy parking, comfortable facility. Magnussen, Sprenger, Seebom, Campbell sisters, McEvoy, Schlanger, and many others, current Olympians and a couple of present World Champions. Back to the finals tonight for another $6.00. And presently swimming is a whole world of hurt financially.
Not having a go at anyone just passing comment. I would imagine we would all like to see MX, DT and Speedway for many years to come. Spectators are part of that, but it will need to be competitive or it will become marginalised. Other parts of this forum are stating that our better economic days may be behind us. Our sport will need to position itself well if it is to survive/ prosper.
