I'm not that clued in yet with the older yz's,  saying that they look very similar...
This motor needs attention, but I have a fresh 1980 465 motor so yeah it should pull together fine..
& I won't be doing a detailed finish. Just clean & safe.  ;)

The only triple jumps he would have been doing are the hop, skip & jump.

Im not overly into Yamahas but it seems to be taking over my shed...Yellow can... fade to white LMAO....the reason I have plenty of 465 stuff is because I bought the 83 yz490 off Ludo? (what a gentleman) & it has a 465 top etc,,,
then got a job-lot of 465 stuff from Bathurst , ending up with a 3R5 complete motor with fresh topend for 100 bucks ,,,,now this has come along,so im thinking why not put this sucker together  ;D
,,,ask the Enduro guys ,,,my photo skills are parched at best  ::)

ps , just picked up a clean 465 rear wheel today,,,the one that came with the buy was cracked badly & a 250 rim..

Hey Glen, Before you get too carried away with having 465 top ends aplenty, split the motor and check the shift forks, shift drum and all gears. Especially third gear.
