Is your 34mm carb a Yamaha one, or generic? The Yammie ones are usually different shapes to the generic ones (spigot sizes, lengths, height relative to centre lines, etc).
A YZ125X intake manifold will solve that part of the problem, but not the airbox boot problem.

The MX-C carb is the same as YZ-C, so shouldn't be too hard to find.

The other thing to look for is a 32mm carb from a YZ-D/E/F (and maybe G?). 32 is a better size than 34, IMHO.

Actually the MXC carb is not the same as the YZC. At least over here they aren't. The YZC carb is much bigger. I have both carbs. The MXC has a one year 30mm short body from the factory. Over here they are unobtainable. I just happend to have one at my brothers house from years ago that I didn't know I had. The parts fiche even shows the different part #'s. The MXC carb is a 565 and the YZC is a 537. I spent two months calling everyone you could think of and there are none to be found over here. One of the contacts owns to of the little buggers.

Scootern29 the Yamaha bible lists the carb as VM30SC it also uses the same as the 73\74 mx250 carb VM30SC also the YZ100c ,IT 125 G\H ,DT3 250 73 . gives you a few more places to seek . The YZ125c  was a VM34SS  .  Nathan the D E F G used a VM32SS carb . Iain

YZ125C had 30mm carb, it was the 125X that had the 34.

That's interesting Nathan Ive just checked my 125c owners book and its as you say but checking on my Yamaha stats book it has the VM34SS !!!!! . mmmm someone has made a cock up somewhere . Iain

Thanks for the clarification guy's. It seems half the time the part#'s and other data just don't jive between reference materials. Thank heavens we aren't dicussing parts on CZ's.
