27, I don't have a spare pair sorry but be it known '78 RM125/250/400C 36mm forks will also slot straight in. Only difference I believe is the spring rate and minor revalving which is minimal difference anyway, the rest is identical. Might make it easier to locate something  ;)

yes they most certainly will 27..the C model forks are identical and perfectly legal in every way for pre '78  ;)
my pre '78 RM125 has an A frame and swingarm, A model tank, '78 PE250 forks/triples, '78 C rear shocks, '78 front wheel and A model rear. The engine itself is a '78 C but it too is flow on with little change from the '77,,it's all legal  ;)

nope it all sits exactly the same when bolted up rm. No obvious gain in the C units only for the fact I had an RM125C and wanted to go pre '78. Keeping it within' regs I fitted as much C stuff as possible to the A chassis. The frames have the same geometry and are pretty much the same in all areas excepting a few little tabs and lugs and of course the steel swingarm instead of alloy of the C. It's like most of my bikes, a piece from here and a bit from there but they all seem to work  ;)
