BSA B44 gearbox

Hi guys I need some help, I am rebuilding a Victor B44 and need to: 1) remove the gearbox layshaft bearing (it is a Torrington b108 roller bearing) from the crankcase.
2) I also need to remove the clutch lever and gear from the outer cover.
I have absolutely no idea where to start so any tips will be greatly appreciated.

Very true Steven, I'd get a whack across the back of the melon if I reached for a shifter.

If you push the clutch arm all the way to the left side of the engine, you'll be able to remove the rack. Then you can remove the threaded gear from the bottom and pull out the arm itself.
