Sleeve turning in barrel

My sons 1984 KX60 finally refused to go.
Being down on compression it's time for a top end rebuild.
After closer inspection of the barrel I noticed the sleeve has turned in the barrel blocking ports off.
This explains why it has been struggling into powerband.

How to fix this?

You can heat it up in your BBQ and turn it back to the applicable point, then let it cool down naturally.
You will prob have to bore or at least hone it after though, even if it is freshly bored, just to be sure it is still the right shape and not out of round.

I only know this as mine moved up when baking paint!!!!

when you "weberit",make sure you support the actual barrell from underneath,metal strip blocks,allowing the sleeve to drop down through,also good idea when cooling is to place a heavish object (large socket?)on the actual sleeve "top hat" part to make sure it sits still,& does not creep up/out the top,typically was chrome bore originally converted to reborable iron,maybe wickin loctite to stabilize afterwards when it's cooled ,hth, :P
ps just thinking if the sleeves capable of moving in the barrel sideways methinks theres certainly not enough interference fit so the loctite would be the go

After half a hour of i'll be buggered I pushed the sleeve out by hand  ???.
Have taken it to the motor reconditioner. He is going to put a pin in to stop it turning.
The head will hold it down.
