    • FULL LOAD MOTORCYCLE TRANSPORT

The most popular thing to do to a YZ to make it interesting is to use the wheels and forks to build a HL

 :D

Yeah but a bit of overkill for farm work though  ;D

I dont know Mont, how would you like to go from a svette 100 odd kilo's to a "I'm gonna join Jenny Craig after this last box of donuts", 120 odd kilo's and then have a rider thats doubled in size over the last 20 years on your back?....and to make it worst, they have to stand on a re-inforced concrete block to slam down from some all mighty height to start you, bit like those belly-flop contests. (aswell as bastardising numorous other Yammaha's along the way).
QVMX.....Australia's #1 VMX club......leading the way.

Not the best pic but all I could find & it'll do for now.

My 250 & 125F (666) and my daughter Deneale's 125F (33)

Here's one of my original YZ125E not long after I bought it. (Still have it) Look at the hideious front number plate they made us use! (& bald back tyre)

Threw the new original in the bin. That cost me later didn't it?

We had a 1979 YZ 250 yamaha and 1979 CR 250 Husky at the same time.

The YZ was definetley faster but the husky was a better alround bike.

IMO the YZ is a nice looking bike not as nice as say the 79 husky or 79 Kawasaki .
Autos are the way forward , see you round like a robot
Take the short cut, go Cross Country
The shortest distance between two points is Cross Country
CCM's and HL's bark like mad dogs

I deliberately left the Euros out of it for various reasons.

The Japs were all around the same price and availability at the time of their making so makes for a good comparison now.

My favourite before actually getting into racing was the Ossa Phantom
