Btw, (and slightly off topic), but I just had 18 minutes of Super 8 converted to DVD...

Boonah Enduro 1980, Round 1 of the 6 Day series..  Cottie on an IT125, Petler on an IT175, Paynie on a Husky....

  ;D

The reel was labelled "Boonah Enduro 1980, Canungra Enduro 1980, Dalby Enduro 1980".
But this is all Boonah, so there must be more on other reels I haven't converted yet!

I've only had time to view it a few times, but so far I've identified:

- Steve Cotterell
- Geoff Petler
- Peter Payne (on a Husky!)
- Dave Lucas (peakless – it appears he’d had a face plant sometime prior to his appearance on film!)
- Stan Jorgenson
- Derek Cross
- Terry Taylor
- A couple of Geoff Udy’s

If you rode Boonah in 1980, let me know what you were riding so I can maybe add a few more names to the list..

It'll be a few weeks before I have time to do up an AVI or Mpeg4 version (I'm still commuting Brisbane-Sydney every week)

haha - he was definitely a trend setter..

Jan/Feb 1980, and he was the only person wearing a Bell Moto 3, and one of only a couple wearing Scott plastic boots..

Had a closer look at the DVD on the weekend and it's about 9 minutes of Boonah (Round 1 1980) and 9 minutes of Canungra (Round 2 1980).

I was kinda hoping that it was all Boonah, as that meant there was more Canungra and Gatton to be found..  But it appears there's only Gatton in 1980 still to be located on one of the other reels..

Although Paynie tells me he recalls Dad showing him footage back in the day from the Boonah enduro in 1976, so there could still be some old enduro gems mixed in amongst my family films..

Update on riders identified:

- Steve Cotterell (on an IT125)
- Geoff Petler (IT175)
- Dave Wagner Snr (IT175)
- Peter Payne (on a Husky!)
- Dave Lucas (XT250 - peakless – it appears he’d had a face plant sometime prior to his appearance on film!)
- Stan Jorgenson (IT425)
- Derek Cross (SWM)
- Terry Taylor (YZ400)
- A couple of Geoff Udy’s  (PE400)
