Engine case RM250N
« on: April 10, 2008, 11:22:37 am »
I am in need of a left hand side (ignition side) engine case to suit 1979 RM250N. Cash or have parts to trade for most makes/models.
Cheers,
K

I can tell you RM500 case's are still avialable new for a massive $1200. Maybe are 250 cases are avialable too at a lower price. Worth checking out with your Suzuki dealer.

Hi bigk, i take it you have a damaged left hand case, is it beyond repair ?. I have repaired a lot of cases and you would struggle to pick it. Let me know if this is an option for your project. Peter.

It's a bit far gone to repair in that virtually all the clutch arm housing section is gone. I don't have the peice that's missing. I have found plenty of PE250 cases, are there any major differences other than the ignition housing bolt pattern?
Cheers,
K

Most of the cases i have repaired have had the same damage as yours, with those i built up the area that is missing then remachined it to suit the seal / shaft diameters as per original. Peter.
