Not strictly VMX but still a problem - JR50
« on: July 02, 2011, 09:09:23 pm »
Having a few problems with the young fellas JR50.  Hard to start.  When it does it screams and then dies.  Once it warms up it seems to go OK, something is obviously not right as all my other bikes start first (or second  ::) ) Kick.  Any ideas  :-\
I've got the correct plug in it (etc).

Whadyareckon ?
Looking for YZ250C parts NOS if possible

The only triple jumps he would have been doing are the hop, skip & jump.

The screaming might be it starving of fuel but then if it runs ok after wards I reckon maybe a split air intake rubber take it off and check because if it is that is just like the throttle being screwed on flat out becuase it can pull the air in.

Had it on my pe400. :)

Check for a dirt/gummy slide, sticky till some fuel washes it. An indication is slack in the throttle at first then less when it settles down. pancho.
dont follow me i'm probably off line!

check exhaust end tip for hornets nest or carbon build up, the JR's and the little quads have tiny little holes in the exhaust end cap, easily block up and do ur symptoms. Done bucket loads during time in suzuki dealerships, common prob with them.
