Will 1972 CR250 piston fit/work in 1973 CR250?
« on: February 26, 2011, 10:29:59 pm »
The subject line says it -- need a 2nd oversize piston kit for my 1973 CR250 that is kit No 16 10 760-03 size stamped 69.93
can get a 16 10 829-03 NOS on ebay -- that is 69.93 correct size -- but what else is different ???
Anyone out there know

OK -- seems there is a difference -- the little side port in the piston is in a slightly different position -- up a bit higher -- Thanks Michael Hughes of Bendigo Dirt Bikes

I had this problem with my 72 Husky, from memory the distance from the pin to the crown of the piston is a different length between the two years.
Give Fernando at husky parts a call or email Vintage Husky in the states to confirm.
