RM125C finished

  Looks choice mario,how did  you go about the clean/polish /finish on the forklegs and triples? cheers huskibul

Hi Huskibul,i know its not correct to polish the forks or triples but the forks were very dull and pitted on the front.
I just used a polishing wheel and aluminium polishing compound to clean them up then some Autosol to finish them off.
Its not a high polish finish (which i didn't want)just enough for my eyes.
The clamps i used a soft wire wheel to remove the dull and chipped clear off it.You can see it get to the aluminium when you use the wire and then a quick going over with Autosol again.
Been inside for 8 months now,it hasn't changed at all.

Well done with RM, now put it on a track

I have moved from Alice Springs to the Sunshine Coast with my RM400 and my first race will be this weekend at Connondale.

I remember that you were going to move and take that beast with you.I hope its looking the goods ready for that big day.

Gotta love that lounge....a single mans castle  I've had it for about 6 +years now in 3 houses and i think i've sat in it about 20 times.
The movie posters,plasma and the famous couch sets a perfect backdrop for a great icon in motocross.

Funny how it took me 5 months to restore this......

And it took me 7 months to bother putting the correct 428 chain and 59t-14t sprockets that i got in January to say its finished

Thanks Tornado.....i thought you might recognise your old RM
It took alot of work but i got there and enjoyed doing it.
Good thing was the bike wasn't butchered from the start and even having the kick stand was a bonus.
How are you going with your RMs? Is that your 250 on ebay?

Not actually my RM on eBay but I am selling it for a mate. My T is coming along slowly but is in the getting back together phase. I love replated parts.
