Hybrid Suzuki 125/175 engine?
« on: July 21, 2010, 12:41:40 am »
Just about have my project "RM175" chassis done and will soon start putting the engine together. I mocked the 175 engine up and modded a pipe to fit so far.

Original plan was to use the 175Z engine with a 185 piston and the 125T transmission and the 175 big end needs overhauled. Just wondering what some other options might be now that I know so many pasrt need replaced.......

I'll snap one for you tomorrow hopefully. Just a semi-nice 125T roller for now. Only "trick" thing done so far was splicing the 125 stinger to the 175 pipe.

TS 185 rod kits are the same as 175.
Wanted - 1978 TS185 frame or frame&motor. Frame # TS1852-24007 up to TS1852-39022

Cyclegod...you are a master at this.
You should be renamed to ebaygod ;D ;D
All i ever find is rods only or pins only.
At that price who could argue and i might have put one away for a rainy day.
cheers....mario

Damm good price for that rod kit. I just paid a bit over Au$100 for the same brand for my TS 125 A crank rebuild at the repairers.

Have you checked if the c/shaft sprocket lines up with the rear sprocket?
My 83 PE engine sat about 5-10mm too far to the left and i had to move the engine over in the 84 RM frame.....check my RM175 franken post.
Keep posting pics ;)
Cheers...Mario

I have brought one of the rod kits for my PE 175 from the same company and all good except no thrust washers, which are still available from Suzuki,Cheers
