Twin shocks and forks
« on: July 20, 2010, 04:56:09 pm »
Building up a DR400 with RM swingarm. I am in need of a set of shocks 380mm eye to eye and possibly 140mm stroke. Any thing + or - 10mm would be OK. Even if they need rebuilding.  Also after a 38mm drum brake front end with at least 280mm travel. Possibly YZ250G forks or anything similar. Any help appreciated.

Rear shocks, use DR 500 1983 as they are of right spring rate and travel.... cheap as chips to buy  ;)
Dr 400 don't need a lot of front braking, as it's all done with engine braking.
If your going to use a YZ front end, check the offset and trail difference's. You don't want to upset the handling or it will not corner too well.

Does any body out there have 1983 DR500,  or similar shocks they wish to sell?
