Wanted - Heavy Duty Springs for a YZ465G
« on: February 11, 2010, 10:00:53 am »
Wanted by a fat man (115kg and about 6 foot) with a 1980 YZ465, some heavier than stock springs for both the forks and the monoshock. The fork springs i could possibly chase down new, but the monoshock spring I'm finding impossible to get new so if someone's got something sitting in the shed that might be suitable and they want to sell it to me it'll help me out heaps. Thanks guys.

Paddles,
You can run a "J" model spring on the earlier "G&H" shocks, it's a much stiffer rate due to the linkage set up,BUT, it is a straight rate spring not progressive of the cantilever shocks.

Wire diameter – 11.3mm

$50 AUD for the spring plus shipping from storage in USA. I also have a lot more WP springs but im not exactly sure of their specs at this stage.

Wanted - 1978 TS185 frame or frame&motor. Frame # TS1852-24007 up to TS1852-39022

Shock Treatment have the heavy fork springs, just measure the OD of your springs(38mm forks).
You'll probably need about .46kg springs.

thanks for the responses and pm's guys. i've gotta get the spring off the shock and measure it up but i think that it's longer than 300mm. i also need to check the id and od as well to clear the frame and the shock body.

it'd be a shame to put it into use where you couldn't look at it
