Mirboo starts off as a lush green paddock in the morning with some bunting and a few pegs to give you an idea where the track goes and by lunch time its a full blown track like the pics show, it's a whole lot of fun.

Stan you should definitely dust of the big Bul. It will be worth it plus you have plenty of time to get fit before August / September. In the mean time try to get to as many VCM races as you can.Cheers Jerry

Viper79; without wanting to sound critical of Mirboo (it looks great and would be fun to ride on), it's not what I call a real MX track; its more like a grass track on the side of a gently sloping hill.  Where are the steep climbs and drop offs; rapid changes of elevation combined with changes in direction????  :-\  :-\

I agree it is a grass track, but it does have changes of elevation combined with changes in direction and some steep climbs one in particular if its wet and you dont get a good run at it after a tight left hander you can struggle to get up. It's set in a gully with a dried up creek bed in the middle the pics dont show how steep it is.

Fair observation Pirie. However perhaps the photos dont do it justice. It certainly isn't a modern track much more of a natural terrain 60's ish track. Couple of steepish climbs (depending on track layout) plenty of changes in elevation, off camber corners and straights. Represents quite a challenge for my humble skills. If you get a chance come and have a look later in the year. Cheers Jerry

Gday Jerry, sounds like a good plan (the fittness thing may be easier said than done though)
Did anyone race at the first Mount Bolton classic meeting in the creator. That was a good track too.

Stan.
