I use Rohan at COD rewinds in Chiltern, never a problem always a great job. Maybe I'm being hard on Bert. He is obviously set in his ways, but after rewinding a Husaberg stator 3 times to no avail, I politely asked what settings he was using for the SEM. He was winding the stator to 1700 ohms which is KTM settings, not Husaberg which need to be wound to 3000 ohms. At 1700 ohms Husabergs will kick start, but not electric start. He refused to be told that he was winding them wrong and actually told me to get f%$#ed, sell it a client with a kick start bike and leave him alone! Now maybe he was having a bad day but I was HIS customer and that's how I was treated. He also refused a credit or refund so my experience see's Bert as an arrogant old prick to whom I will never send anything or recommend to anyone. Rohan on the other hand took the knowledge on board and now winds the best Husaberg stators in the land. I have sent everything from Husaberg, DT1 to Bultaco Motoplat and all have come back perfect.
Cheers,
K

I can also recommend Steve at Betta Bikes in Hackham South Australia.  Top bloke and good turnaround.

Looks Like Holeshot Buddy was correctamondo, $200 for a rewound stator, my mate will test bike tomorrow before our October trial ride.

just for info, he rang Rohan at COD rewinds in Chiltern and was quoted $300 , Berty from small coil rewinds in Geelong did the job for $200. time will tell once he reports back to me.

Hi, Fixed my 360 with a new needle, the needle is a husky made item  you can't get one from mikuni. It's  $27.00 so cheap to try first.  Jeff

Yes, my mates WR250 is ok now.

Thanks to Russel (Holeshot Buddy) for the heads up on the stator, it indeed was the problem. our trail ride is next week out the back of bushfire affected Marysville (Stockmans).
