Suzuki / Re: RM 400T counter sprocket shaft thread size

Thread files usually have a range of thread pitches on all the sides of the file. But from memory i think it's 1.5 pitch. Alternative is to buy a Die Nut or use a triangular file if there's only minor thread damage (they cut better than thread files).

Hi all. I need to find out the thread size on a RM 400T counter sprocket shaft so I can buy a thread file. Any chance anyone knows?

Not VMX, but arguably the pinnacle of MX.

An event run, for the best 3 riders from every country to compete.

For the first time ever, in the 77 years it’s been run, Australia are victorious!

Congratulations to Kyle Webster, Hunter Lawrence and Jet Lawrence.

(Many will know all about it, but of course: largely ignored by the mainstream media. (Less important than coming last at “Breakdancing” for eg)

CZ / Re: CZ 1973 front forks set up
« Last post by John Orchard on October 04, 2024, 11:48:31 am »
Just making a record of my attempts to improve the soft front end on my 73 380.

Forks appear standard except for the addition of `top hats' at the end of the springs. The top hats where an upgrade from back in the day apparently.

30 weight oil.  170 ml per leg.  And 10mm spacer at the top of the spring, under the cap.

Feels much better in the garage tests.

Pete

A lot of guys laugh at using such thick oil in suspension, in my '84 CR500 forks I would run 30wt (ISO 100 hydraulic oil) in Winter, and 40wt (ISO 150) in Summer.

I have them in Titanium, if that would help.

Thanks but I'm too old to get a bank loan ;-)
