CZ / 981 Clutch oil seals and tank colour

Hi Gents,

Had the 1973 380 going with new Vape Ignition. Brilliant.

New issue is oil leak behind the dry clutch.

Question - what are the sizes and or id numbers for the seal (and type maybe)  and oring/s   ?  Possible 50 x 65 x 8 mm but not sure if single or double lip, or spring etc if it matters.

Question - size of the Oring on the kick starter shaft ?

Question - I want to paint a steel tank in the original '73 Blue colour. Any idea what the colour code is or close to it?

Maico / 1977 FORKS HOW TO GET DAMPER RODS APART

Hi Guys,

            How do I get the damper rods apart on my AW?  I want to add PD valves but need to reduce the preload. I'm told that we need to shorten the alloy spacer that sits within the damper rod. I take it I need to get the alloy screw/nut cap that screws up into the fork leg. But it is on hard.

If anyone has fitted PD valves be good to get their views on the how too and oil specs etc.

CZ / 1973 PARTS BOOK

Hi Guys,

Did a 73 250 a few years ago. Now doing a 73 380. The 250 has gone to a new owner.

I am looking for the parts book to check for missing or odd bits on the 380.

Is it possible to down load an electronic copy from somewhere?

Yamaha / IT 250 K AIR FILTER ASSEMBLY ?

Guys I need advice on fitting up the air filter on a 1983 IT 250 K.

It has a cage with 2 x 6mm threaded bolts attached to it, the foam filter and the bit I have the problem with a pressed metal ring the same shape as filter cage.

Where does that pressed metal bit go?

ie Onto the cage then put the filter over both OR put the filter on the cage then the metal bit over the to, basically sandwiching the foam filter between the cage and the pressed metal thing.

I have asked two Yamaha IT YZ owners close to me and neither had any idea.

Kawasaki / KLX 250 Standard Needle or replacement

Afternoon guys,

KLX used at Braidwood VTR the other week pinged due to lean neeedle.

Owners manual says it should be a a Mikuni  Jet Needle  6H2-2.

Not whats in it. Had a look on Mukunioz but couldn't find it.  I heard it might be a `special' .

What can be used as a standard replacement needle?

Kawasaki / KLX SWINGARM CHAIN BUFFER/GUARD NEEDED

Is there a replacement or oem plastic chain buffer for the KLX 250 around anywhere. I had one in the Cart in the USA then I checked with an email and they said Oh no we don't have them.

Wanted / KLX 250 1980 kickstart boss

Guys checking if anyone has a splined boss for the kickstarter on the KLX, Kdx and kx apparently fit.

Trying to use Oem bits if possible

My boss is stripped bare. The shaft spline is all good.

Wanted / Yamaha DT 250 1977 seat and some other bits

Gents,

 I could use a better seat foam for a 1977/ 78 DT 250 , I think the 400 is the same.  I have a new cover and the base is ok but anything would help.

Air filter cage now on the list.

Any help will be appreciated

Wanted / Suzuki Alloy Swingarm RM 250 C2 1978 etc

Bike has an N or T swingarm on it but would like to put it back to Standard.

He is also looking for the airbox.

Wanted / Farm bike to double kids around on

An old work mate of mine from near Sydney has asked if I can get hold of a bike suitable for him to double his kids around on a property.

We are thinking of a DT,  TS, XT 250, XL or something similar to that. Low seat jobbie. Nothing flash really.

The bike will be left at a place in the Goulburn area in NSW.

Wanted / Maico gearbox parts

Guys at yesterdays race meeting I lost the following parts off my 1977 AW 250.

The sit on top of the gearbox beside the carby and fit into the gear selector plate. There is like a hollow dome nun/screw that pushes the spring down onto a pin that fits into the selector plate indents. (stops the 1000 false neutrals)

1/  Pin pawl - part # 3415

2/  Compression spring - part # 3422

3/ Tension spring holder screw - part # 3417

             On behalf of a mate.  KX 100  1989/90  - complete bike. I have had it running but it will need work. Rear shock seems fine with damping etc, Front forks have great chrome.
