For Sale / PRESTON PETTY TONY D GUARDS
« on: May 09, 2016, 08:29:23 am »
OK guy's, I am bringing in a bunch of Preston Petty Tony D front guards that will be here for CD12 at Conondale in June. By doing a bulk buy I can get them at a good deal and pass it on, the price will be about the $85 mark, if you buy direct from the US with postage you are looking at well over double that with the way our Pacific peso is. I will bring the white [Yamaha] and Yellow [Suzuki] in, if you want any of the other colours let me know. You can check out their website. I will also bring some of the white and yellow oval number boards, same thing, let me know so you don't miss out. These products are 100% the best, even many works riders used them on their bikes [Stephen Gall's 1981 YZ465 that won the Aussie title has one on it!]. ph 0412747729, cheers John.

For Sale / KX125 KIPS VALVES
« on: August 30, 2015, 04:09:07 pm »
I have new billet KX125 Kips valves for sale. Made out of way better quality than original. They fit 1990/91 models. You get the 2 main Valves, the idler valve and the 3 centralising  spacers that go on top of the gears $250 per set. Ph 0412 747729 or pm me, cheers John.

Kawasaki / KX125 1991 KIPS VALVES
« on: June 17, 2015, 09:11:19 pm »
Does anyone know if the Kips valves are interchangeable on the 88/89 to the 90/91 models....90/91 is the same P/N, 88 is different number and 89 different again....they are almost impossible to get in good nick or NOS so I was looking at making some [90/91] sets up. They are basically the same engine family with slightly different barrels/heads. If they are interchangeable then I would get more made and they would be cheaper. Any help would be appreciated, cheers John.

There on this weekend at the old Lakeside track, QVMX have a display at the SHANNONS big rig transporter [ got to try and convert some of those tar babies...LOL]. Come and say gidday, the racing will be awesome. This meeting is huge, practice Thursday, qualifying Friday, racing Sat and Sun. Graeme Crosby and Kork Ballington are just some of the legends there. There's a few VMXers there already soaking it up. The club running the event [QEMSC] had to jump through all sorts of hoops to get this meeting happening.....NOISE being the big issue. If you have never been to Lakeside then go have a look, it's a very cool track. I wonder if Lozza will be there? 8)

Tech Talk / Mikuni PLASTIC Main Jet
« on: September 09, 2014, 04:35:05 pm »
Has anyone come across a plastic Mikuni main jet before. I am rebuilding a RM250A motor and was checking the carby jets before starting and came across this. Its a round slide 36mm carb, looks original [doesn't have the idle screw]. It even has the size on it [270]. Just curious.

There is also the SHANNONS Insurance "Happy Laps" for those who want to parade bikes or just want to ride around the track that there hero's have just competed on. this is non competitive and you can do it on a practice licence to keep the cost down.

There will also be some trick bikes on display.
