CZ / CZ center stand

Doing a bit of a shed cleanup and came across this NOS center stand that after a bit of a search think it's from an early 70's CZ Enduro machine.
Open to reasonable offers.

I've got a NOS Maico GS ignition cover to suit up to 1977 models. It fits over the external rotor Bosch ignitions but not the points mag.
Still not sure on a price but if anyone is interested I can send photos and I'm open to reasonable offers.

Yamaha / YZ465/490 conrod

Don't recall if I've talked regarding this before but was playing with a couple of Maico rods recently that are advertised as being replacements but are slightly different in length.
The YZ465 rods available from Mitaka in the UK are advertised as 137mm center to center but the correct length for a YZ big-bore is 137.5mm. All other dimensions are correct and it would be a relatively simple job to machine .5mm off the base flange.

A bit of a trivia question for those that were around in 1974. When did speedos go from MPH to KPH in Australia ?
I thought that in 74 they were MPH and most went to KPH in 75.

Maico / Maico 400 Mega 2, whats it worth.

I've been thinking of selling my 81 400 Mega 2 but have no idea what it's worth.
A few details about the bike. Frame is an 81 250 mx, motor 81 400 with GS ignition and 40mm Bing, also has just had a new sleeve and stock Mahle piston fitted as well as a new rod and main bearings.
It has near new tyres fitted to original wheels with original gold rims, forks are original with good chrome, shocks are Marzocchi and work quite well.
So I'd describe the bike as very original ready to race bike but it is not a bling covered show bike.
I'll try and post a couple of photos from Google.

Anyone got a water cooled head to suit a CR125 1976/77 or earlier would fit as well.
Have a classic road racer customer that thinks he needs to go with water cooling.

Anyone know a good source for seat foam. In the past tried high density foam from Clarke rubber but it's to soft.
Looking at a cover / foam kit from US but it's about $300 to get here.
What are the good auto upholsterers charging to make a cover and cut foam to suit.

Anyone know if both engine and frame numbers are used for bike rego in Qld. I'm thinking of restoring my old RT3 Yamaha and getting it rego-ed again but the original frame is badly rusted, so I was going to use a DT1F frame but don't want any problems with rego.

I'm having trouble contacting HPI ignitions. Only tried Email so far but don't seem to be able to get a response.
Is there a better way to get in touch or is there some secret code to add to Emails?

After a YZ125 D 1977 barrel and possibly a head for a project bike if anyone has one. Also anyone know if the "E" model barrel is the same and usable in pre 78.

Just thought I'd share the latest bit of butchery I have come across.
Had an RM125B crank turn up for a rebiuld and the first thing that looked funny was the rub marks on the sides. Measuring it I found it to be almost 1mm wider than others I had seen. After it pressed apart I found a stepped pin and a later rod fitted with a larger big end bore. Thats ok but the thrust washers were to big for the recess and that's why it was to wide. The next strange thing was the appearance of the wear on the pin, looked almost like it had milled flats machined into one side which I hadn't seen before. The pin had been properly made by the look of the grinding finish on the un-worn sections but after a quick file test I found it hadn't been hardened.
Makes me groan to see stuff like this and am amazed at how shops could charge for such work.

I have a pair of NOS Akront 22 inch x 1.6" 40 hole un-drilled alloy rims for sale. They have some corrosion on the surface and would need a polish to bring them back to new condition.
Never new what they fitted until a speedway guru spotted them the other day.
