CZ / CZ numbers???
« on: July 05, 2022, 11:15:20 pm »
Hi all,

I've just picked up a 1975 CZ250 Falta as a father and son project for me and my aging dad to spend some time on.
I hoping someone can assist with what model number I should be using when chasing parts.
Is it a 513? is it a 980?  These are just some of the numbers i see listed against CZ250's.
Is there some way to tell what model mine is?

Thanks
Tim

Husqvarna / Chain roller tensioner wr240 1981
« on: May 17, 2018, 02:03:38 pm »
Guys,
Just realised my wr240 didn’t have a chain roller tensioner...it’s gone, long before I bought the bike.

I have found another one but have noticed it fouls on a tag bracket adjacent to it so mustn’t be for this model.

Question, should the spring roller lay back, under spring pressure, onto the swing arm when the chain is not fitted?

Does anyone have a photo to help me?

Thanks ????

Thanks Mick, you are correct, they are the smaller 35mm forks.

I'll give you a call during the week and grab one.

Thanks for your help guys

Trying to keep this one original because it is so original.

Have a great one ????????

Hi guys,

I managed to break a 38mm fork slider at the recent Yass VTR vinduro after an altercation with a tree.

If anyone has a spare floating around id greatly appreciate it, I'm in Newcastle.

I'm chasing the ones with made in Sweden on the the strengthening rib.

Hoping those who may have upgraded to 40mm forks may have bits still kicking around in the corner of the shed.

Happy to pay cash or beer..

Yep, nup, after exhaustive googling overnight I've come up with nothing. no one does a kit

even Xrs only in the states don't do one

Has anyone had to rebuild their linkage? did you have to buy a different kit and modify it? custom make a bush?

Anyone?......ideas?

Thanks

Hi guys, forgive me if this has been asked before...

I'm putting together a 84 xr250 for my 16yo son to ride in VTR events this year now that he is a senior.

Trouble is that the rear shock linkage is stuffed.

It looks to be a rubber covered bush and I'm having trouble finding a new one.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? If I've got to buy a kit to do the whole lot I'm happy to do so.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

:) that thing looks a gem, would be a great vinduro weapon with Japanese reliability and suspension!

Shouldn't have trouble selling that Tezza, a couple of nights in the shed on the fizzy drinks and it would be a goer!

If I had a bigger shed I'd be over in a flash.
