It seems strange that a "Factory HRC" bike would have a YZ90 Yamaha tank? "doh" no doubt this bike has come out of a Factory but not the HRC or Honda.

« on: April 21, 2014, 10:02:46 am »The BB is a great event, however the condition of the main MX track on Saturday was atrocious! I guess I can't say this without offending someone but whoever made the decision to grossly over water the track to the point of it being almost shin deep thick gunk, has no idea. While the rest of the event seemed to go off nicely, The MX track on Saturday was utter pox verging on dangerous. Very poor indeed. I wasn't there on Sunday but hopefully for the riders it was much better.

Big K's right the track was very disappointing I managed only 2 laps then had to put it away, I came a bloody long way for those 2 laps too, there was no need for the amount of water on the track, and I agree it was potentially dangerous and far from fun and enjoyable.

The owners of cd would have their own agenda and I know if it were me and people harped on about it I would dig my heels in and say no on principle. No one wants to be 'bullied' into changing something. Let it come at their pace, not yours.
Or you could do what some have done is turn up with your post 85 and just ride it the couple of CD's I've attended there has been a number of post 85's being ridden, "The owners of CD" are either turning a blind eye or they are not up to speed on models that are being ridden at there event.

Go for it there's no reason not to have a crack, it is a long haul to Qld and if it encourages blokes that don't want to race to bring there bikes out then why not, give people an option,

« on: October 18, 2013, 03:18:49 pm »Here's a close up of the pic of bike #1. I have been reducing the resolution of my pics.
I reckon Nunber8 is right and that is Vic Allen on Bert Flood's 125 Mk8 with Number8's red alloy tank on it. Don't know why the number plates are that colour though. Interesting fact that Vic on the 125 Bully beat Gaston in at least one race of the Australian Tour.
I still believe the other shot of Vic and Gaston is a mk8 250 with the back hub changed to run RH shift as Vic and Gary Flood preferred.

Your on the money Stan, ;)Gary F must've liked white backgrounds on 125's or couldn't be bothered make em black, as my Mk7 had the white plates when I got from him. That was really impressive when VA beat GR on that Mk8 125,he always put in a big effort over here.
