Competition / Re: So…..Why are you NOT racing???
« on: January 20, 2016, 11:09:12 am »
I haven't strapped on the gear for 2 years...........! I also have not been on here for 18 months :o :o

Time- I only get every 2nd weekend off, and I work away from my Mrs. My weekends are spent wish her trying to build our life and finances.

Scheduled- The state where I am currently, has only 1 meeting yearly which meet my roster- That pissed me off!

Too much politics and not enough action in rectifying issues. You can't please everyone and you need rules, but you need to digress to increase interest.

$$$$$ I don't want to spend shit loads and wasting my holidays on attending meetings.

Bike- just not up to standard (until I employed someone to finish it) It's almost finished now.

I'd like to do a full season before kids come along, but it's not looking good.

Peace and stay upright.

I don't know, given the market is shot to shit at the moment, and the bloke is clearly desperate to sell. It's probably on the money.

It's a very targeted market selling old British stuff, as there is a reason no one wants it! LOL

In 17 pages on this event only one reference has been made to thank the sponsors. Take a bow Davey.

If you don't know who they are, take a look on the free T shirts they gave you. Without generous sponsors there is NO EVENT.

Good point Ted! Well said! Thanks to all the generous sponsors!

Thanks Davey, plenty more where they come from! All 3000 of them;)

General Discussion / Re: Lest we Forget.

Tough blokes back then. they sacrificed lots for our freedom. many of them 18 years old too

Very hard to imagine the youth of today (the all about me generation) stepping up for their country today, sad fact isn't it.  :(

I couldn't help, but reply...In a way I agree, as I can see your point.

But, It takes a special person to enlist in the ADF now days, But to segregate a whole generation based on a few bad eggs (eg: The Corey Worthington's of this world) is a generalization, and leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

It also saddens me that you feel that we are not "Up tot he challenge" in defending our nation if shit hit the fan.

As one who is Gen Y and ex RAAF, with my better half still enlisted in the RAA, I can tell you that the brave persons of whom we have served with are as patriotic and as dedicated to this country and protecting its boarders as the WW1/WW2/ Vietnam/ Korean Iraq & Afghanistan ANZACS.

Anyhow, I have said my peace.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them

Lest we Forget

For Sale / 1984 KTM 125 GS
« on: March 17, 2014, 11:52:58 am »
Guys

I have way too much on the go, and unfortunately one has to go! I wanted to keep the little KTM, but time and space don't allow it:(

1984 KTM 125 GS ( in VMX spec)

Fresh top end, put back to standard bore. New KTM head bolts.
New sleeve in barrel, new piston and ring (Wosner)
Fresh rebuilt rear shock by Rossco's Suspension (Not on bike)
KTM decal to go in tank void (Not the bolt on badge) from Andre in Austria.

I have all the Acerbis lights, and speedo and expansion chamber for Vinduro.

2 spare frames, and a heap of spare engine parts (will make complete spare engine)

Needs a good tune, although is running crisp! Starts 2nd- 3rd kick!

Non original parts Forks, Wheel, Front Brake (84 CR125) Triple clamps (84 KX125), I don't have the original parts, but can point in the correct direction on where to obtain them.

As it sits, it owes me well over $3500 I'm asking $2750, which i feel is pretty fair considering the work that has gone into it over the past 6 months, and you can just put the new shock in and ride until your heart is content..

If your interested, please give me a call 0438 308 253 (Nathan)

Cheers, here is the latest pic

The MXGP is very  close to Pattaya , so your tank should be well and truly empty . Might catch up with you on the track or the the sportsbar .

Oh for sure!!!!!

Nathan, Are you going to the Johnny Old in NZ?

No looking good unfortunately, I might not be back from Thailand! I'm going over for MXGP and am staying on for a bit!

I want to get to the Post Classic Titles also, but will have to see how much is left in the tank after Thailand.

Come on lads , its just a couple of extra numbers per bike entered and would probably add 10.0 minutes to filling out the average entry form.

Unless off course your Brad V , he enters every class and some , so it would add a day for him and that wouldn't bother him.  8)

Bard will have to re-mortgage the house to enter these titles!  Holy Shit, that won't help the cause!
