Iain
I have a Jones Products Clutch Cover on one of my PDV's.
What I've been looking for is some Jones forward axle fork
lower legs for early DT or YZ's.I've heard they had Jones Products cast on them but I've never seen any.

Kenny If my memory is correct. The DT/RT2MX silencers had a plug you could knock out so they became strait through. As I recall they did run better after this but were a little louder.

Iain !!

The one I have is the only one I've ever seen until the one posted above.I was going to use it on a PDV project that I was going to use a YZ type
crossover pipe rather than the leg toaster DT1MX style pipe they came with.I had a machinist modify one of the rear down tubes for clearance but was not happy with it and kinda lost interest in it.

How about some support for 2 Buds Racing's Pete Lee and David Gras with their assault on the Yankee US riders at various races around Daytona in a couple of weeks. They're bringing their Bodyguard  " The Boomer" as well.
Let's hear it !!!

Or use a 74/75 YZ head. They would just have extra holes as would the DT2MX.

The clutch covers fit the bolt pattern and gasket but the kick start shaft is different on the YZ.If you don't change it,the cover cracks around the seal when you tighten it up.The DT/RT shaft can be modified by making a new groove for the snap ring further in.I think it was about 1/4 inch but I haven't done one in years.I hope this helps. If you can't figure something out let me know and I'll pull one of mine apart to see the distance.

Wanted / Re: Wanted 1974 YZb side covers
« on: May 20, 2014, 12:40:55 pm »
Hey Ian !!!

All I could find was a couple of sets of homemade fibreglass number plates a guy made for me years ago. They're kinda thin and not smooth but fit well and look good at 50 MPH and 200 feet away. The only 250 heads I found were a stock DT2MX and a DT2MX head that's been shaved to look like a 431 YZ250A head.I also had the extra 4 holes drilled in the head for the smaller 8 MM studs.
Let me know.

Ian !!!

Do you need a 250 or 360 head ??? I'll see what I have. I know I have a good set of side covers.
