General Discussion / tyre changer from Estonia

Not bad value for around $106 AD.   Although I've changed plenty of tyres over the years I never could do it in under three minutes. Now maybe I can.                  http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/great-tool-for-tire-installation.26929/

Although I do have one of the expensive joiners on a 430 Husky,  all of my other Husky's have a cut up 20 in BMX tube from my sons old patched up pushie tube. One of them has been on there since 1986 and it still works just fine.  Not sure what brand of tube it was, but is a great fit for Husky pipes and mufflers, with no hose clamps and a slim fit so it doesn't push out the side covers.

Yes good point Mike,  re- SAE 20 oil.

Sorry David,   I was reading straight off the the spec sheet.

I took my 430 WR to a two day trail ride a couple of weekends ago and I tried  (for the first time ) the Penrite Monograde SAE 30 oil in the gearbox.

Well the bike ran fantastic, shifted perfectly and even on the Sunday morning cold start, no problems. I drained the oil out when I got home and apart from a very slight purple tinge, the oil looked good. Happy with the results, I put some more SAE 30 back in.

cheers

We had a light shower around 10 -11am, but as said earlier, there hasn't been any rain since cd8. The water truck was going around today and the sprinklers were running flat out. As Russell said, should be perfect.

Hi Nathan,

Chance has it that I may be going to Sydney from the Sunshine Coast (going down empty at this stage) early next week to pick up a whole bike and a ute load of bike parts in boxes. I got a price to send from Port Botany to Brisbane for $450 for everything together ($350 for the rolling bike and $100 for the boxes).  I am still undecided as to whether I will drive down and back or just have it delivered as it will cost me about the same amount of money for fuel, food, accommodation, etc.  At this stage, see how you go and I'll keep in touch.  I don't know yet when the bike and boxes will clear customs so I'm not sure when I will be leaving (the ship is due to arrive on Friday with the container unloading commencing on Monday).  Please PM me what you think...

Cheers.
