Yamaha / DT-1 Lowering Kit
« on: July 25, 2018, 11:15:30 pm »
Does anyone have copies of the Webco DT-1 lowering kit directions? I have the dimensions and a picture of the spacers. I would like to find the directions to keep on hand as well.

I do have a VM34 and 125X cylinder on it. I'll have to look into the airbox.

What length shocks are you running? I switched to 345mm shocks with 34mm front forks and it made a huge difference on mine.

Yamaha / Yamaha DT-1 250 Pistons
« on: November 18, 2015, 02:05:26 am »
Hey Guys,
Just wanted to let you know that I will have .080", 2mm over Wossner piston kits for the 68-71 DT-1 250 models. The price will be under $200 USD per kit. They will be coated like most of the Wossner pistons. Give your 20hp DT1 a little boost!

It's actually at Mr Crankshaft right now. He has not been able to match it up with anything else that he uses, and he goes through the full catalog of PWC, ATV, snowmobile, etc rods and pins.

Don is working on a 1965 Maico Oval Barrel 360. He needs a new rod pin and rod bearing. Would also consider a decent crankshaft. Any leads on one? I have not found any sources in Europe or the USA so far.

Wossner sells a piston for the 1975 MX 400. However, they don't list it for the YZ 400. They offer 85, 85.5, 86 and 86.5. Retail is $145. We are set up as a dealer with them as well.

Had yet another delay on it. The air boot rubs on the shock spring, which could cause issues down the road. The mold for the air boot has to be modded slightly. Should have it fixed tonight.

Although I like the 1974 models and loved my 1984 RM 250, there is just something about the bikes that I grew up on. Being 25, the mid to late 90's are my bikes of choice. I always looked forward to reading the bike mags and watching the A riders when I was a kid.

Our local vintage series has a pre 2000 class for 1999 and older bikes. It's the most fun I've had in years on my 1999 RM 125. We also have a 1989 and older, 1981 and older, 1974 and older. No age or skill breakups. They usually get 5-15 guys in each class depending on the track.

First prototype RM Full Floater Works Replica Single Side Airbox is a success. It fits snug and should do the trick. Will be ready to ship early next week. Available with or without the vents.

General Discussion / Re: DG exhaust

We try our best. Most parts are in stock. Sometimes there is a week or two delay. However, most companies over here are dependable. Pro Form is take your best bet. They don't give any time estimates on orders. TerryCable can take up to 2 months as well to fill orders. DG has been very good lately. I guess that's all part of the vintage game. With small quantities, everything takes a bit longer.

Wiseco is really killing the vintage scene as well. They continue to discontinue vintage pistons. On most of the vintage stuff they are requiring a quantity build of 12 pistons.
