1988 CR500
Very original, very tidy and very low hour bike.
Suspension done, waterpump and seals done, pipe is very good, easy to start, wheel bearings good, front tyre looks original and needs replacing.

Plastics and seat cover need replaced.

Looking for offers around 3.5k

Can help with shipping, I have used a reputable company for years, door to door SYD-CAN $200, SYD-MELB $240, SYD-BRIS $250. And he can make other destinations work too.

Stands up in every gear and starts easily.
Bike has done a good amount of work but engine feels tight and strong.
Doesn't have the sand paddle tyre on now.

Looking for offers around 3.2k

2000 model KX500 in very good condition!
Stands up in every gear and starts easily.
Lots of compression, engine feels tight and strong.
We have replaced the seals and bearings in the water pump, as these go regularly in these models.
This is a low hour bike in very original condition.

Looking for offers around 4k

Took this one out for a ride too and it runs nice!

Other than the plastics being a little tired and a dent in the pipe on the left side, you can see it in one of the photos, doesn't affect performance, I don't know of anything that needs doing to this bike, it is in very good condition.

RM465
Very low hour bike in very, very good condition. Has been almost completely restored. It is easy to start (if you have a strong right leg!), runs like new, has lots of compression, new plastics, brakes are strong, rubber is good, maybe one short ride on the rear and front is a little more worn, 4 speed gearbox, suspension is good, original slim footpegs, rims are like new, chain and sprockets are good.
Powerful beast!
Took it out for a ride today and it has very smooth power and actually handles really nice.
What I can see still needs done is,
seat cover ripped and needs replacing
enduro tank could be changed to original
and there are a few bolts that could be replaced because they are not originals
missing side stand

Its not here for show, its here for sale so make me an offer.

I am looking for offers over 4K

I have done my best to describe what I see and know, so please pm me if you want more details or photos.

Hey PEZBerg,

No longer in NZ, have been in Sydney now for about 16yrs.

The bikes that I have owned were predominantly for two reasons, 1. To figure out what I really like and 2. To make a bit of money so that I could afford to keep whatever it is that I really like!

Probably like many on here, I don't get out nearly as much as I would like, this year I have ridden twice in Australia and a whole bunch of times in South Africa as that's where we spend Christmas, with my wife's family and there is some very good riding over there, where laws are very flexible!

The overall all goal is to find a bike that suits me. A couple mates and I want to do the 12hour Transmoto on VMX's, but one of them just broke his collarbone, so we are waiting to see how he mends. No motocross for me, i enjoy the trails much more and my competitive edge kicks in on the track and my old bones don't like it.

I imported them to fix them up and sell them, so I thought this would be a great place to do that? The main other reasons that I have been on here before have been to find new places to ride, (being from NZ and only having a couple mates who do ride makes knowledge pretty limited) and to figure out how to fix my bikes. Both of these can be done as a non member, so hadn't bothered joining till now.

I emailed Graeme to make sure this wasn't an abuse or frowned upon and he assured me that it would be ok, so that's my story! Hope that's ok with everyone.

Hey All,

Been watching the forum for years, but have finally joined up. My first bike in about 1980 was a Honda C90 that we used on a dirt track back home in NZ! More recently I have had about 15bikes trying to decide what I really want.

Keen to get more into the vintage seen, as vintage best describes me and my style of riding, if you can call it a style?

In the garage right now is a nice 82 RM465, 88 and 92 CR500's and a 2000 KX500. These will come up for sale over the next few weeks. I would post some photos but they are too big and I am not very technological and cant figure out how to downsize the PDF?

Anyways, good to be on here,

ARM
